The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery would like to welcome the latest addition to our outstanding faculty, Dr. Rajesh Gutta.

Dr. Rajesh Gutta is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Gutta was born in a small town and raised in Chennai (Madras), India. He graduated from The TamilNadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, India with a Dental degree in 2000. Subsequently, Dr. Gutta moved to the United States in 2001 and completed a residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He graduated with a Masters degree in Clinical Dentistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Gutta is a member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association. Dr. Gutta has published in peer reviewed journals and serves as a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Medical Case Reports.

Dr. Gutta’s clinical interests include trauma, facial reconstructive surgery, temporomandibular joint disorders, sleep apnea, orthognathic surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, craniofacial surgery, and pathology.
